As a general rule, men's fashion experts consider black to be THE go-to colour par excellence. That said, since black is strongly associated with formal situations and special occasions, blue or gray may be better choices for creating a flawless look in certain circumstances. At Ernest, we've noticed that blue is very popular with our customers, and has been for several seasons. It goes wonderfully well with black, grey, navy, beige, denim blue and so on. A sure bet!

WHAT PANTS TO WEAR WITH A JACKET?

The choice of pants to wear with a jacket depends on several factors. If it's a suit jacket, there's no need to think too hard: wear it with matching pants to be 100% sure of your look! As for the rest, you're spoilt for choice. Slim-fit pants, jeans and chinos are perfect with a sports jacket, tweed jacket, blazer or corduroy jacket, for example. 

WHICH T-SHIRT TO WEAR WITH A JACKET?

Unless you want to provoke a reaction, avoid band or cartoon t-shirts with jackets! At Ernest, we strongly recommend quality T-shirts in plain or very discreet patterns. A white or black t-shirt with a round or V-neck, for example, is a safe bet to have in your wardrobe for a smart-casual look. That said, ensure it fits snugly to your torso to avoid unsightly creases. Want to vary your style? Get T-shirts in different colours (coral, raspberry, light blue, etc.) to combine with your favourite jacket, depending on your mood!

WHAT COLOR JACKET TO WEAR WITH NAVY JEANS?

Navy blue jeans are a must-have in every man's wardrobe. Versatile, they're sure to create a trendy look! And the good news is that, according to men's fashion experts, this cult garment is a basic. In other words, it combines wonderfully with virtually any jacket colour, including beige, orange, red, gray, brown, green and black.
